A species of shrubs from the genus Privet of the Olive family (Oleaceae). Deciduous shrub or a small tree up to 5 meters high.

The leaves are opposite, simple, lance-shaped, leathery, dark green above, lighter below, pointed. The flowers are white, fragrant, collected in petiolate paniculate inflorescences. Flowering in June - July.

The fruits are rounded in shape, represent a shiny round berry. They are inedible for humans.

It is widely used as hedges, as it easily tolerates shearing and crown formation.

Instructions

7. Hardiness: Hardiness varies by species and growing conditions. Young plants may need protection from extreme temperatures. Acclimatize gradually to outdoor conditions.
