Spreading tree up to 25 m high.

The leaves are green, from 10 to 37 cm in length. They fold up in rainy weather and in the evening.

Delicate, inflorescences from 5 to 9 cm long with a height of about 3.5 cm and a diameter of about 6 cm are racemose, capitate and contain numerous (15–22) flowers, racemose flowers. Blooms May-June.

Application in landscape design.

Prefers soil that is light, drained, fairly fertile, and has a neutral environmental reaction.
